The Maricopa County Joint Information Center is providing daily COVID-19 updates for members of the media and the general public. This is the update for July 14, 2020.

GOT TESTED? HERE’S WHAT TO DO NEXT.
If you’ve already been tested for COVID-19, you don’t have to wait for your results to take action. As soon as you get tested, you should begin isolating at home; complete a Public Health questionnaire to assist with disease investigation; and communicate with friends and family members who may have been exposed.
NEED TO GET A COVID-19 TEST?
Arizona Department of Health Services lists COVID-19 testing sites, hours of operation, and information about pre-registration on its website.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE A CLOSE CONTACT OF A POSITIVE CASE?
If you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 (usually meaning someone who lives in the same household or who has been within 6 feet for more than 10 minutes during the person’s infectious period), you will receive a phone call from Maricopa County Department of Public Health. This phone call will cover:
· That you were exposed
· How to protect those around you from developing COVID-19
· How to sign up for Sara Alert to share your symptoms with Public Health
· What to do if you develop symptoms
· How to speak with a specialist if you have questions
If you have Caller ID, you may see the number 1–855–414–4673 or “Public Health,” or “AZ Health.” In some cases, our call may show as “Unknown.” If you are unsure about taking a call or miss a call, please check your voicemail!

HOW MARICOPA COUNTY IS WORKING TO LIMIT EVICTIONS RELATED TO COVID-19
Unless Congress acts, the national moratorium on evictions will expire later this month. People who are struggling to pay rent may have questions about what assistance is available going forward.
Maricopa County is using federal CARES Act funding to create a new rent assistance and eviction protection program, which would offer approximately 6,000 households in the region up to three months of rent. More details will be released this week.
SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF PROGRAM: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION NOW!
We are now accepting applications for the Maricopa County Small Business Relief Program, which provides up to $10,000 in grants to reimburse businesses and non-profits for lost revenues during March and April. Grants will be given on a first come, first served basis until the money runs out. The program is funded through the federal CARES Act.
Key qualification requirements:
· Employ 25 or fewer full-time employees
· Gross revenues declined by at least 25% in March and April compared to the previous year
· Did not get any other COVID-related government assistance (payroll protection, SBA loan, etc.)
· Located in Maricopa County, but not inside the cities of Phoenix or Mesa. Those cities received significant CARES Act money as well and run similar programs

Elections and Recorder’s Office
Early voting for the August Primary Election started on July 8th. More than 1.3 million ballots have been sent to voters, and in-person Vote Centers are now open.

Do your part to help the community you love. Participate in the 2020 Census. An accurate census means Maricopa County will gets its fair share of federal dollars to invest in things like public health, infrastructure, and schools. When everybody counts, we all win!

COMO TRABAJA EL CONDADO MARICOPA PARA LIMITAR LOS DESALOJOS RELACIONADOS A COVID-19
Al menos que el Congreso actué, el moratorio nacional con relación a los desalojos expira a finales de este mes. Las personas que están teniendo dificultad para pagar la renta podrían tener preguntas sobre la asistencia disponible de aquí en adelante.
